My Review ⤵️
Here we have a selection of very emotionally charged stories that have been written with care, respect and love. The audible version is narrated perfectly by Sandie Keane who does a fantastic job of bringing the author’s (Suzanne Rogerson) words to life.
There are ten stories in all, each of them has a theme of love, loss or of life in between – hence the book’s title.
‘Goodbye Forever’ is the first story that really stood out to me. I felt the emotions of the lead female character so strongly, I could understand her fear, desperation and her motives. I found myself listening very intently to this one!
Another one that stood out for me was one titled ‘A Cat-shaped hole’ this one is about a cat making someone’s day! If you know anything about me at all then you will know that having a cat in your works will get my attention every time! One beautiful little story!
‘The Phone Call’ was my favorite story! This one is about a mother who has lost her child, she is trying to come to terms with what has happened and she is struggling. She visits a medium and soon after something very strange occurs!
Overall, I really enjoyed this collection, there was only one story that didn’t really do anything for me and that was called ‘Knocked off her Feet’ – this one is pure romance and just not my thing.
This was a 5 star listen for me and I would love to read/listen to more from this author in the future!

About The Author ⤵️
Suzanne lives in Middlesex, England with her husband, two children and a crazy spaniel.
Her writing journey began at the age of twelve when she completed her first novel. She discovered the fantasy genre in her late teens and has never looked back. Giving up work to raise a family gave Suzanne the impetus to take her attempts at novel writing beyond the first draft, and she is lucky enough to have a husband who supports her dream – even if he does occasionally hint that she might think about getting a proper job one day.
Now an author of four fantasy novels including the Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy and a standalone fantasy, Visions of Zarua, Suzanne has recently turned her hand to short stories with a new collection publishing on 9th September 2022.
She loves gardening and has a Hebe (shrub) fetish. She enjoys cooking with ingredients from the garden and regularly feeds unsuspecting guests vegetable-based cakes.
Suzanne collects books, is interested in history and enjoys wandering around castles and old ruins whilst being immersed in the past. She likes to combine her love of nature and photography on family walks, but most of all she loves to escape with a great film, binge watch TV shows, or soak in a hot bubble bath with an ice cream and a book.
