The story is centered around the Scottish warrior Hamilton of Clan Graham and his quest to find a wife. Upon returning from battle, he makes a bet with his brother to have a wife by the end of summer. To accomplish this, he enlists the help of his childhood friend Beileag, who has also changed during his absence.
The story follows the romantic development between Hamilton and Beileag, as they work together to find Hamilton a suitable wife. However, it becomes evident that there is a growing attraction and intrigue between them. This causes Hamilton to become conflicted about his focus and priorities, as his thoughts constantly drift towards Beileag instead of finding a bride.
The book took me on an engaging and passionate journey of love set against a Scottish backdrop. The idea of childhood friends discovering a deeper connection and navigating conflicting emotions could make for an interesting and emotional journey. Additionally, the inclusion of Scottish culture and the warrior background of the protagonist adds another layer of interest and uniqueness to the story.
Overall, the chemistry between the characters is electric and just beautiful, they work together so well, the plot is interesting and engaging, we have that whole will they/ won’t they thing going on!
